If you’re trying to save money on a wedding, one of the best areas to look at is flowers. ‘Traditional’ flowers can be incredibly expensive and at the end of the day, you will have to throw them out! One of the nice things about the bouquets featured in this list is that lots of them are handmade, cheaper to create and you can keep them at the end. I’ve picked a few of my favourites from the list:
Top Left: This gorgeous bouquet is made out of handmade paper flowers. I’m currently creating these roses to create a wreath, so I can tell you right now that if you’re thinking of making this, give yourself plenty of time to make each flower! But I can also tell you that the flowers look amazing when completed, and are really easy to put together. Don’t like pink? You can also download the roses in white and red!
Top right: A big bouquet of beautiful butterflies! Check out craft stores for a paper butterflies to match your colour scheme
Middle, Left: Having a Winter wedding? How about carrying a giant, sparkling snowflake? When you purchase this amazing ‘bouquet’ you also receive a complementary boutonniere!
Middle, Right: This quirky bouquet would be right at home at a fairground themed wedding (plus if you get hungry during the ceremony you can eat it!)
Bottom left: For all those crafty gals who are obsessed with knitting and crocheting, this bouquet is perfect - a combo of yarn balls and earthy plants - in gorgeous fall colours.
Bottom Right: Who says you have to carry flowers, when there are so many gorgeous coloured vegetables?!

the scariest thing is that there are actual women in the world attracted to men who rev their engines at stop lights
This has always been one of my favorite quotes. It’s by C.S. Lewis
Honestly, today was the worst day of my life, saying goodbye to my friend of 16 years Graeme. I can’t believe he’s gone. It didn’t seem real until I saw the police guard and the coffin being driven through it today. Fucking devastating. Such a rad, rad person, so nice, so genuine, so funny. I’m gonna donate as much as I can afford to Beyond Blue on his behalf xoxo
I just love our group of friends from school. Even ones I haven’t seen for a while, it’s like no time has passed at all. We all have each others back. We all care about each other. And god damn everyone is just so much FUN!
But what’s the most amazing and heart-warming is how supportive everyone is of each other during this horrible time. We’re a big group, but everybody is there for everybody else. Yesterday we had an afternoon/night at the pub to celebrate Graeme’s life and friendship. There were tears, many tears, stories were told, memories were shared, MANY beers were drunk, and we celebrated the much-loved person we lost. Graeme would be proud of how we’ve come together, just as we are proud to call him our friend.
I’ll miss you forever Graeme. Thanks for being a great police officer and taking care of the scum around Christies Beach!! Thanks for confirming that I was in the right in road rage disputes!! Thanks for being my first kiss. Thanks for confiding in me about your depression and letting me confide in you about mine. Thanks for being so genuine and nice and funny and honest. Thanks for eating goldfish. Thanks for the other gross things you did during school! And most of all thanks for the memories and friendship xoxo
